上个星期打电话去询问 10月14号到华欣的火车票时，他告诉我要等到9月15号才有得买。
好了，15号我女朋友去买的时候，他又告诉我21号才能买。他给的原因是说泰国那方面hold着了车票不给卖。

最近这几天我也找了一些关于火车的资料，发现这个...

If you are catching the train from Penang into Thailand, it may also be worth calling the office first, before you set off for Butterworth station, The reason is that Thai Railways have recently got into the habit of cancelling the Bangkok train if it is running late by more than a couple of hours and keeping the train in Thailand so it can operate from Hat Yai to Bangkok on time. If you call after 10 am they will know for sure if the train is running, as this is when it is due to leave Pedang Besar on the Malaysian border.
This happened to me twice recently, once for a derailment and once because it was 3 hours late. So its best to check first and that will give you time to make other travel plans. You can either keep your ticket and catch a minibus to Hat Yai railway station to connect with the train, or you can get a full refund from the KTM office and book another day.

我想求救啊，本来plan到好好的trip突然间很多坏消息来袭！都不懂能不能去得成！
另外，有人试过从槟城临时打minivan去合艾吗？再从合艾去华欣吗？

另外，华欣当地有得换泰币吗？在本地换实在太低了，就算这几天马币升了一点,money changer都不会调高，我觉得他们怕马币又会跌了下来所以不调价钱。
在泰国拿新币换泰币会比马币值得吗？

8月22号那个weekend我在bangkok新币换泰币能够换到252或253 。
我记得出发前一天在新加坡看到的rate是248或249。 所以就算去到换也应该可以吧~

其实很多人都是搭飞机去曼谷游玩时顺便坐minivan到huahin。
而我选择搭火车是因为 1）省钱，来回应该RM210左右 2）一个比较不同的慢游
话说，2pm -6:30am 16个小时，还没想到要在火车上做什么。

我上次是搭从曼谷乘巴士到pattaya，好像是一小时多
泰国喝酒很便宜，一边喝一边看“球”吧

关于换钱，我去过的曼谷、phuket, krabi都有money changer，收不收马币就不知道了
