That's basically what I've been talking about. Either you want to blame it to their innate technical deficiency, or to their inherent football philosophy, it is just not their thing.

And that also probably explains why, after two intermittent spells with foreign managers, eventually they still resorted to passing the English football mantle to Roy Hodgson, who is average at best, but everybody is so comfortable with.
