“贞节”和“贞操”只是对女性而言的。按照“圣经”的律法，女人在新婚时如果失去了“贞操”，被丈夫发现不是处女，或者丈夫不喜欢新嫁娘，他可以宣布她失去了贞操。这时，新娘就失去了“赎罪”的机会的，被宣判了死刑。
“圣经”中的申命记22节里有明确的、详细的律法：
"Ifany man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her ... and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid: Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hate her ... and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city ... But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel ... Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die."
中文大意： 如果一个男人娶了妻，跟她上床后恨这个女人，不喜欢她了, 他可以宣布她失去了贞操，不是处女。如果这个女人的父亲拿不出女儿是处女的证据（带血的床单）让长老们确认，那么，他们可以把女人带到她父亲的门前，让城里的男人乱石砸死她。

「你不能容女巫(Sorcerss)存活。」(《出埃及记》22章18节)
除了耶稣对于不信仰者的诅咒之外，在《圣经》中很少有这样可怕的教诫了。
十四世纪以后的三百多年间，有三十多万的妇女借这教诫之名而遭残害。在Toulouse一地，有一天就活活烧死了四百人。
圣女贞德就是以女巫的罪名被烧死的(教会残害她之后又敕封她)。那些时日，欧洲几乎每一个村镇中的火刑，都是根据《圣经》这最高权威而来的法令执行着。

以色列人和米甸人打仗，杀了所有的男丁，掳获所有的妇女，凯旋而归，摩西看了，大为生气地说：「你们要存留这一切妇女的活命么？」摩西遂命令将无辜的妇女小孩统统杀光。(《民数记》31章15至17节)
这是耶和华和摩西的一贯作风：攻打一个地方，就「把有人烟的各城，连妇女带孩子，尽都毁灭。没有留下一个」。
许多对于《圣经》有朦胧好感的人，听到这种惨无人道的事述，作何感想？

This first quote clearly shows that murder and force were used to "take" these wives.
5) Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.
It is clear that God doesn't give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans "property".
7) Rape of Female Captives (Deuteronomy 21:10-14 NAB)
"When you go out to war against your enemies and the LORD, your God, delivers them into your hand, so that you take captives, if you see a comely woman among the captives and become so enamored of her that you wish to have her as wife, you may take her home to your house. But before she may live there, she must shave her head and pare her nails and lay aside her captive's garb. After she has mourned her father and mother for a full month, you may have relations with her, and you shall be her husband and she shall be your wife. However, if later on you lose your liking for her, you shall give her her freedom, if she wishes it; but you shall not sell her or enslave her, since she was married to you under compulsion."
Once again GGGod approves of forcible rape.
9) Sex Slaves (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

Lo, a day shall come for the Lord when the spoils shall be divided in your midst. And I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle: the city shall be taken, houses plundered, women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be removed from the city.
