上集我们讲到秦国几次攻赵不下。休整三年之后，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王又派大将军[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦再次领兵攻打赵国。赵国当时正逢严重旱灾，国内缺粮，人心浮动。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦、杨端和分别率兵，由南北夹击邯郸。赵王派[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧和司马尚率军抵抗。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧仍采用筑垒固守，避免仓促决战的方针。秦军屡攻不得，形成相持不下的对峙局面。

这一天[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王在朝堂与众大臣商议攻赵对策。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦深感军事打击一时难以取胜，他对[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王说：“ [color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧不除，赵国难以攻下。”蔚缭、李斯等主张：“还是采取我们既定策略，重金贿赂权臣，可使用离间计除掉[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧。这样，赵军将不战自溃。”

于是[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王派出蔚缭的学生王敖，带着万斤黄金去赵国游说赵王的宠臣——丞相[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开。

王敖见到[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开，向[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开陈述利害，说：“丞相难道没有听过这样一句话：识时务者为俊杰吗？目前大势所趋，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王秉天命，顺人心，灭六国一统天下是早晚的事。去年有童谣说：'秦人笑，赵人号，以为不信，视稼禾枯槁。'果然如今赵国大旱，看来童谣确有征兆。这明摆着是上天在助秦国。天灾示警，赵王昏聩无能，国内人心已经涣散。目前赵王只能倚仗[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧功高盖国，取代您[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开为相也是早晚的事。所以，从长远计，上顺天意，下合民心，也为您自己考虑。我建议您还是早早依附[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王吧。” [color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开听了默默沉思，点头称是。

然后王敖拿出黄金七千斤，交给[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开说：“[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王以万金相赠，委托先生，交结赵国将相，我现在都给丞相您了。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧之事，还望丞相用心。事成之后，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王一定另有厚报。” [color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开见了这么多黄金，大喜说：“我[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开受[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王厚赠，若不用心图报，就不是人了。请转告[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开一定不辱使命。”

之后，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开秘密派人在邯郸城内到处散布流言，说[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧私通[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦，意欲投降秦军，出卖赵国。一时间传的沸沸扬扬，赵王也听说了，不由震惊，急招[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开询问。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开趁机道：“臣也听说此事了。难怪[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧此次与秦军交战，秦军不战而退，原来是[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧与秦将[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦有密约，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧是故意放虎归山啊。还听说[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦暗地里派人告知[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧，若[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧弃赵归秦，封邑万户！大王，此事宁可信其有，不可当其无哇。”

本来赵王把赵国的命运寄托在[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧身上，现在一听[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧欲叛赵归秦，顿时惊恐万状，乱了方寸，连呼：“这可如何是好，这可如何是好！” [color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开趁机说道：“于今之计，不如及早撤回[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧，另选良将取而代之。”于是二人商定，召回[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧，另派赵葱、彦聚代替[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧。 [color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开又出主意说，为避免[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧犯疑，就说是要任命[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧为相国，让他把将军印绶交给赵葱、颜聚，速速回京面君赴任。赵王点头应允，遂下令召还[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧。

[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧接到命令，心存疑惑。部下司马尚对他说，大王说要拜你为相，分明是欺骗将军，将军万勿轻易回京，以免遭到不测。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧也意识到定有奸人从中陷害，回去凶多吉少，于是在赵蒽、颜聚二人到来之前就挂印，只身逃走；赵蒽、颜聚到前线后，闻听[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧已逃，便派骑兵追剿。捕获[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧，杀了他，撤换了司马尚。

[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧在军中素来威望很高，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧被杀，军心顿散，许多人逃跑，军队没有了战斗力。三个月后，[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦率兵急攻邯郸，秦军一路如入无人之境，大破赵军，杀了赵葱，俘虏赵王及大将颜聚。

[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开劝说赵王献出赵国地图投降秦国。[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王把赵王迁安置在房陵地方（今湖北房陵县）。至此，延续了二百多年的赵国宣告灭亡。

但是其中还有一人漏网，就是被废掉的赵国太子——公子嘉。他逃到了代郡（今河北尉县），守着那一隅之地，借着[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]李牧的名声，号召当地人拥戴他，并自立为代王。

[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦始皇二十五年（公元前222年），[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]王翦的儿子王贲率军在攻灭燕赵残余势力后，攻破了代郡，俘虏代王。赵国彻底灭亡。至此，秦统一了北方。

上面提到的赵国那个里通外国的卖国丞相[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]郭开，后来在回邯郸搬运个人财物的途中被强盗杀死。

韩、赵两国是中原之地，占领了中原，就等于获得了天下的中心位置，进可以攻，退可以守。此时[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王嬴政获得了很大的先机。秦国的土地几乎包括了整个黄河流域，统一天下已胜券在握了。

那么，下一步[color=rgb(59, 92, 114) !important]秦王要剑指何处呢？
