Actually IT = Information Technology.  The areas you mentioned above is too broad, you can actually narrow it down like this:

Hardware --> Computer Engineering (i am not too familiar with this part so i wouldn't comment much here)

Software --> Computer Science
- Software Engineering (software/Apps development)
- Computer Architecture
- Database Management
- Computer Security
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data Mining
- Automation
- Computer Networks
- Mobile Computing

You can specialise in more than one of these areas, but usually people will focus in one.
