而 ‘scared’ 在英文里除了是 The Simple Past Tense, 也是形容词。

scared of 和 afraid of  我不大清楚怎么分辨
感觉上scared是用在短时间的‘惊吓’，而afraid 则是一般的‘害怕’，对吗？

后面我就觉得应该用ghosts，复数。

afraid 和 scared 是同义词，两个都正确。
ghost 是可数名词，用不指定单数得说 a ghost，不指定复数得说 ghosts。
这句该说 He is scared of ghosts.
