（吉隆坡）多層次傳銷（MLM）銷售按年成長、零售銷售按季走高與科技新業務提振盈利下，海鷗企業（HAIO,7668,主板貿服組）2010財政年淨利預測有望取得高達38%按年成長，寫下7260萬令吉佳績。

第3季的多層次傳銷銷售按年增長46.1%，預見在會員按季增加之下，第4季銷售按年成長20%。與去年相比，這間公司已招募額外3萬名會員。

儘管第3季與首9個月零售銷售分別按年萎縮19.3與5.3%，惟管理層表示，今年較遲的農曆新年銷售強勁，並將反映在第4季。此外，首10個月的同分店銷售取得按年成長3.5%。

科技部門方面，管理層透露成立“熱轉移”業務，目前投資成本約300萬令吉。我們相信，業務要達到無盈虧，可能比管理層預期的2年短，同時在經濟低迷之際，料帶來強勁盈利。

2011與2012財政年預測各為8520萬與1億零140萬令吉。

HAI-O:  Buy, target price RM5.04

OSK Research upgraded Hai-O Enterprise Bhd (7668)to a "buy" saying it has decent upside potential, but kept its target price at RM5.04.

Hai-O is involved in wholesaling, retailing, multi-level marketing and pharmaceuticals, as well as Chinese medicinal clinics.

OSK believes the firm is on track to achieve a profit forecast of RM72.6 million for the current year ending April 30.

This would be driven mainly by better multi-level marketing sales on the back of a higher membership base and better retail sales.
It expects sales during the Chinese New Year period, which arrived later this year, to be captured in its fourth quarter.

"Management revealed that there are some developments in the technology division and that all is progressing as planned, although there are no further details," it noted in a report yesterday.

Hai-O Indonesia targets 1,000 members

JAKARTA: Hai-O Marketing Sdn Bhd, which has expanded its marketing wing to Indonesia through PT Hai-O Indonesia, aims to register 1,000 members in six months, says group chairman Tan Sri Osman S. Cassim.

He said the multi-level marketing company received encouraging response from Indonesians with 200 of them have already signed up as members.

"Hai-O is confident that with the quality range of products offered by the company, especially the Bio Aura water filters and premium beautiful foundation lingerie, our products will be a hit among Indonesians," he said at the official launch of PT Hai-O Indonesia here Saturday.

Present at the launch were Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin Syed Hassan, Raden Febrihehan, representative of Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Hai-O group founder and managing director Tan Kai Hee and PT Hai-O Indonesia director Srie Matina.
PT Hai-O Indonesia has been operating since August last year at a strategic location at Rukun Mangga Dua Square, Jl. Gunung Sahari Raya Jakarta, an area surrounded by major shopping malls in this city. -- Bernama

Hai-O to draw Indonesians' interest

Malaysia's renowned multi-level marketing company, Hai-O Marketing Sdn Bhd, has devised a networking marketing concept that can draw the interest of Indonesians to participate in its business.

It has also introduced the member-consumer and consumer-entrepreneur concepts that will serve as a pulling force, premised on the belief that people will promote and sell products that are satisfied with.

Hai-O Group Founder and Managing Director Tan Kai Hee told reporters this during the official launch of PT Hai-O Indonesia, Hai-O Group's wholly-owned subsidiary, by Hai-O Group Chairman Tan Sri Osman S. Cassim in Jakarta on Saturday.

PT Hai-O set up its operation in August last year in Rukun Mangga Dua Square, Jl. Gunung Sahari Raya Jakarta, a strategic area surrounded by major shopping malls.
Tan said the business has produced successful and reputable entrepreneurs in Malaysia because it was mobilised with sincerity and it was the members themselves who determine the returns they hope to achieve.

"PT Hai-O Indonesia provides various opportunities up for grabs by industrious and high-potential individuals aiming to enhance their social status," he said.

Asked why Hai-O decided to spread its wings to Indonesia only now even though it has been successful for over two decades in Malaysia, he said:

"Hai-O, like a seagull, needs to strengthen its wings before taking flight. It also needs to take a gradual ascent before flying to faraway places.

"We want to do good deeds and contribute to the economy where we set foot in according to the win-win situation philosophy."

Tan said that in Indonesia, an individual would only need to invest about seven million rupiah (1 million rupiah = RM352) to become a member-consumer and then consumer-entrepreneur to achieve economic success and enhance his social status.

In a souvenir book distributed during PT Hai-O's launch, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hataa Rajasa said the government welcomed Hai-O's investment in the country.

"It is our hope that PT Hai-O can spur investment and economic growth in Indonesia, that has shown resilience during the world economic crisis last year," he said. - Bernama
