T-distribution is used only for a small sample drawn from a normal population with unknown population variance.
(small sample , n < 30)
Whereas:
Central limit theorem apply for:
1. A large sample ( n = 30 and above) drawn from any type of distribution of population.(whether its population variance is unknown or known)
2. A sample (any size) drawn from a normal population with known population variance only
