XD card problem

i using olympus mju300 n use xd memory card but now the problem happen is when i using cable copy my photo n if i din copy when i connect the cable to my pc then 2nd time mean i 'll lost all my photo in the card n when turn on the camera again it show write protect n cant take any photo n i hv to format to take photo again
can any1 help me solve tis problem
n can i find back my photo using any software???/ help tq
