Brother, this is wastage lah not extra over lah o.k, this wastage shall put under your unit rate lah

extra for and extra over for is same, "extra over for" got many item can put in, but some QS Consultant not do that
because they dun know, below is same item we can calculate as "Extra over for " :-

1) Railing, usually we price railing in meter run, but we still can claim or prepare the BQ with "Extra over for "
  - Bend
  - End Cap

2) Floor Tiles also have extra over for :-
  - Extra over for floor trap
  - RWDP opening
  - Scupper drain

3) Ceiling also have "Extra over for" :-
  - Opening Access

many many item we can put into BQ with "Extra over for" but sad is Our QS Consultant (All Malaysia) not included because of no standard ppl prepare BQ.
So as a Contractor they shall included into their unit rate. during Tender Interview Consultant will going to said your unit rate too high and market are only RM xxx

This is Malaysia Standard, in KL, almost IR is for ALL, he can be a Architect & QS, This IR fee very high, he prepare all documents, tender drawings, tender interview, tender reports and .......

适当的了解和应用“Extra Over"这个字眼，因为这会大大影响你的pricing。
例子1 - soil excavation 1000m3 at RM10/m3. 当挖的过程很大可能会遇到有hard rock，所以我们会有extra over for rock excavation at 100m3(e.g. 10%), 这100m3其实是part of your 1000m3, 所以你已经打了价钱在你的soil excavation at RM10/m3里，如果你的rock excavation是RM30/m3的话，那么你的extra over for rock excavation就是 RM30/m3 减RM10/m3 = RM20/m3。不放extra over的话就会出现double accounting了。
