Badminton Club of Multimedia University (Melaka campus) is proudto present you MMU Master 2009 Melaka Open Badminton Championships, forthe fourth time running. The event will be held at Yok Bin Secondary SchoolBadminton Hall Melaka on the 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th and 19th April 2009.
Theobjectives of this event are to promote the game domestically in a nationwidescale and also bring up the good name of the MMU Melaka Badminton Club as wellas the university. This tournament was formed with intentions for the studentsof MMU to collaborate with the public. The public is highly welcomed toparticipate in this event.
Thereare 2 types of categories which are the open and closed categories. The opencategory includes Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’sDoubles and Mixed Doubles. This category is open to all. As for the closedcategory, it involves Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles only. However, currentand former state or national players above the age of 14 and below 40 are notallowed to take part in this category.
HavingSunrise Sports Sdn Bhd and A One Carriage Sdn Bhd as the main sponsors for MMUMaster 2009, the prizes and cash amounts have definitely increased to a higherlevel. This time, the prizes and cash that are worth more than RM40,000 will begiven out during this tournament.
So whatare you waiting for? Hurry, get yourself registered now! Be a part of ourprestigious event and make it a memorable one! The closing date for the registrationis on 28 March 2009 at 8pm. The drawing of lots will be conducted in Multimedia University (Melaka Campus) at CLC0002(A2) on 2 April 2009.
For yourinformation, other activities that are also involved are “Kids Talent”, LuckyDraw and “Guess and Win” contest with attractive prizes to be won. We highlywelcome everyone from all walks of life to come and give support not only tous, but also the players of the tournament.
Registrationcan be done from today onwards. Interested participants can obtain theregistration forms at A One Carriage Sdn Bhd, YokBin Secondary School, Yu Hwa Badminton Hall, X.L. Badminton Sport, CentrePoint Badminton Hall and Multimedia University (Melakacampus).
