visa card problem

please...
i m a new card owner,2day i make a reservation of hotel by phn..but thy need me give thm the visa card num...valid date and 3 digit password...
is there normal or it just can scam and withdrawn my money???
thy say just for guranntee...
it\s there normal ???please tell me ....

可是通常我Book Hotel都是给名而已。
去Check in才给钱/卡。 |

如果不放心，就給假的3個digit。
但我覺得還可以過賬的... |

It depends on the situation actually, if you wish they can hold a room until evening for you, then you have to give them your CCV number. If you book a room without giving CCV then they will not hold a room for you until evening, unless any vacancy available.
You don't have to worry, you still can cancel the reservation by 24 hours (most of hotels do) without any charge even though you have given your CCV number.
However, it depends on the quality of the hotel as well, each hotel has difference T&C, you have to read that properly. |
