ADDITIONALMATHEMATICS PROJECT WORK FORM 5 YEAR 2007

FISH POND

Agriculture Science Society " Sekolah MenengahKebangsaan Alor Setar" wants to build a fish pond.
The depth should be 0.8 m and its base issquare with an area of 6 m2 . It is suggested the pond be built atthe agriculture garden of the school.
Building cost (including cement price and labour cost) ofthe base and wall of the pond is RM240 per square metre. The society suggeststhe pond be built according to measurement of to 2 m X 3 m.
Discussion
a) Ensure the cost of building is as suggested by"ersatuan Sains Pertanian"
b) If you are given thecontract to build the pond, suggest a measurement for the pond base so the costwill be less then (a).
c) Then determine apond base measurement where by the building cost is minimum. Clarify your findings.

Extension
If the depth and area of the pond base are kept asinitially suggested by "ersatuan Sains Pertanian" ,find out anddetermine other shapes that may lessen the cost of building.Explain your findings.

这是GP 的问题,
设第一次投资为A
以后每次投资也为A
那么第二次生日就有A( 1.08) +A
第三次生日就有(A( 1.08) +A)*1.08+A=A*1.08^2 + A*1.08+A
注意看会发现你要找的其实是SUM OF　ＧＰ，　ＦＩＲＳＴ　ＴＥＲＭ　＝　Ａ，　Ｒ　＝　１．０８
于是答案是，　３００＊（１．０８＾１８－１）／（１．０８－１）

A 是1岁还是0岁呢？
如果是1岁的话....您的答案是真确的
但如果是0岁的话....就要 ３００＊（１．０８＾１9－１）／（１．０８－１）

A 應該是0歲吧,1 歲的時候(第2次生日), (A*1.08)+A
