Mathematics M Assignment 2013/2014

Anyone done assighment mathematics M sem 1 ? can share it the answer of questions 3 ?
(a) Determine the conditions for a solution curve
(i) to be increasing and have no turning point
(ii) to be decreasing and have no turning point
(iii) to have turning points

我的老师说只要写condition就可以了。
好像 x<0 or......
MathsM的课本里面有。

yup the question 2(a) just do integration only~
but i want to remind you the D must be zero!!!!
b'coz the question said tat it passing through ORIGIN
it mean a=R , b=R , c=R , d=0 (*R is real number)

Here is another easier one I found.

Got x-axis and y-axis
For queation 1, I did 4 graph.
1) a= + , b=0, c=+
2)a=- b=+ c=-
3) a=- b=+ c=+
4) a=+ b=+ c=-
That's all.
I asked my teavher today about question three. She also not sure how to find the range of values of x in term of a, b and c.

use the fomulae file:///C:\Users\SOWFAM~1\AppData\Local\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image002.png to prove it, u also can using graphing to show where is my +x or -x

no need... just leave the answer in term of a,b,c \
of course we don't know which one we need to put on d negative site and which one we put on d positive site so tat we LET it hv a value~
For example :-
a=6, b=-18, c=3
we subtitute d value in site d equation
then use d calculator calculte it to find if sub d value to +(plus and minus choose plus) what number we get and sub d value to -(plus and minus choose minus)
after tat we cn see clearly why (- b^2-4ac) is at left hand site and (+ b^2-4ac) is at right hand site~~
and d method to find the range u must cut the graph by three part and see which part the graph is showing positive which one showing negative.
hope can help you~~ tat's a little bit difficult to understand
