这是term1学弟的问题：
Chapter5: INTEGRATION的area under a curve，如果要sketch the graph请问要怎样画？？

问题：
Calculate the area enclosed by the boundaries.

y=10-x^2 and y=x^2+2

你已经知道x^2的graph(U parabola shape), x^2 + 2, 就是y-axis的2为vertex(intersect at 2). [原本是从0, 现在y-axis上2格， 相信你在Chapter 1已经学习如何sketch graph...

10 - x^2 = -x^2 + 10, -x^2是(N parabola shape)

Let y=0,
-x^2 + 10 =0
-x^2 = -10
x^2 = 10
x = √(10) & -√(10) (intersecting x-axis)

Let x=0,
-(0)^2 + 10 = 10 (intersecting y-axis)

就自己试下Sketching graph吧...

Sketch the curve y=e^x and y=e^-x for -2≤x≤2. The interior of a wine glass is formed by revolving the curve y=e^x from x=0 to x=2 about the y-axis.Find the volume....

http://www.wolframalpha.com/ 这个网站很棒哦。直接把equation放下去，就会sketch 了
