2.Express cos3x in term of cos x.Without the use of table,solve the equation cos3x+2cosx=0 for -180<x<360

3.Prove that cosec x -cot x=tan 1/2 x
    Deduce that tan180/8=square root 2

4.Prove that cos x+2cos 2x+cos 3x=4cos 2x cos square x/2,find the value of x in the range 0<x<360 that satisfy the equation cos x+2 cos x +cos2x=0.




请各位帮帮忙。做不到答案。

    (1) cot A+tan (2A)=(cos A)/(sin A)+[sin(2A)]/[cos(2A)]
                               =[cos (2A) cos A+ sin (2A) sin A]/[sin A cos (2A)]
                               =[(1-2sin^2A)cos A+2 sin^2 A cos A]/[sin A cos(2A)]
                               =cos A/[sin A cos(2A)]
                               =cot A sec (2A)

(2) cos (3x)=cos(2x+x)
                    =cos (2x) cos x- sin (2x) sin x
                    =(2cos^2 x-1)cos x- 2sin^2 x cos x
                    =4cos^3 x - 3 cos x

     cos (3x) +2 cos x=4cos^3 x-3 cos x+2 cos x
                                0=4cos^3 x-cos x
                                0=(cos^2 x)(4 cos x -1)
                 cos^2 x=0       or       cos x=1/4

x=-90,-75.52,75.52,90,270,284.48

(3) cosec x-cot x=(1/sin x) - (cos x/sin x)
                            =(1 - cos x)/ sin x
                            =[1-cos 2(x/2)]/sin2(x/2)
                            =[2 sin^2 (x/2)]/[2sin(x/2) cos (x/2)]
                            =tan (x/2)

tan(180/8)=tan(45/2)
                  =cosec 45 - cot 45
                  =(sqrt 2)-1

cos x+2cos 2x+cos 3x= cos x+2(2cos^2 x -1)+4cos^3 x-3cos x
                                             =4cos^3 x+4cos^2 x-2cos x -2
                                             =(4cos^2 x)(cos x+1) -2 (cos x+1)
                                             =2(cos x +1)(2cos^2 - 1)
                                             =(2cos 2x)[cos [2(x/2)] +1]
                                             =(2 cos 2x)[2 cos^2 (x/2)]
                                             =4 cos (2x) cos^2 (x/2)

麻烦帮个忙。

1.If A+B+C=180 degree,express cos^ 2 A+cos^2 B-cos^2 C in the form p+q sinA sinB cosC where the values of p and q must be determined.

Ans: p=1 q=-2


2.a) Obtain an expression for sin3x in the term of sin x only.
   b)Find the values of x in the range -90<x<90 degree that satisfy the equation sin 3x=1/2. Hence ,find the roots of the equation 8t^3 - 6t+1=0 to 3 decimal places.

Ans: -0.940 , 0.174  ,0.766


3.a) show that x=pie /5 ,then sin 3x= sin 2x
   b) Given that sin 3y= sin 2y ,show that either sin y=0 or 4 cos^2 y -  2 cos y -1=0
   c) Using the result a and b above .Find the exact value of cos pie/5
   d)Show that cos 2/5 pie =1/4(square 5   -1)
