偏光太阳镜功能

生活中，有太多的光源会产生有害的光线，尤其是太阳光；太阳光里散发出来的光线有：可视光线、红外线、紫外线(Ultraviolet)等三种。

当中以紫外线对人体的皮肤、眼睛等，造成严重的伤害；太阳光所释放出来的光线里IR（Infra-red）红外线（750nm）以上，可视光线（Visible light ray）（310~780nm）；紫外线又分为UVA、UVB、UVC（310nm）以上，青光（Blue light）其中UVA、UVB、UVC是有害光线，如果长时间暴晒会造成身体的损坏，UVB是对视力有严重影响的，（Tanning Ray）是烧黑皮肤的光线，大部分眼角会吸收此种UVB光线，所以一定要阻绝掉此种光源。

偏光太阳镜因为具有将光偏极化的功能，所以能将所有之有害光线都阻隔掉却不影响可视光的透过，能够真正达到保护眼睛的功用。偏光太阳镜除了基本的防紫外线功能外，还具有防眩光、路面反射光线、水面鳞光等，适合驾驶、钓鱼、旅游、日常佩戴。

"Ray-Ban”。“Ray”的意思是光线，“Ban”的意思是阻挡，自此“雷朋”品牌正式面世。

雷朋太阳镜的诞生源于美国一位空军中尉的苦恼。1923年，这位中尉驾驶小型飞机横渡大西洋时，深深感到强烈日光带来的困扰，回到基地后，甚至有恶心、头痛、目眩的不良反应。基于此，在1930年博士伦公司研制出了能吸收最多的日光，发散最少的热能，保持良好清晰视力的雷朋太阳镜。雷朋太阳镜除了有良好的防护功能，设计者将其外形款式的设计更凸显粗犷英武的军人气质。

在第二次大战期间，穿着皮质茄克的美国飞行员经常戴着一副新颖别致的太阳镜，出入于世界许多国家和地区，给人们留下了一种豪迈、潇洒的印象。美国飞行员戴的太阳镜就是雷朋太阳镜。时至今日，自命不凡的男子仍以配戴一副雷朋太阳镜而倍感自豪。

1936年，博士伦公司将这种太阳镜介绍给一般大众，但在它的早期销售量上显示，一般人对雷朋太阳镜不太感兴趣。对此，博士伦公司并不气馁，经他们分析研究，将雷朋太阳镜作了一番小小的改动，再度推入市场--简直出乎公司的意料，这种略作改动的雷朋太阳镜，不但在销售价上大大的提高了，而且一举成了当时最畅销最热门的抢手货。

当时，据说美国的男人们几乎都有一副雷朋太阳镜，并以戴此镜来显示自己男子汉大丈夫的气概。发展到后来，小姐女士们也纷纷戴起雷朋太阳镜来，而美国漂亮的小姐女士戴上雷朋太阳镜居然另有一番风采，特别引人注目且富有魅力。
