4.      The line y+x+3=0 is the tangent to the curve y= px^2 +qx, where p≠0 at the point x=-1. Find the values of p and q.    [6M]

5.Given that


                                      Loga (3x-4a) + loga3x = 2/log2a + loga (1-2a)
Where           0< a <1/2 , find x.                                                                                                                         [7M]
* for loga (3x-4a)), loga3x and log a(1-2a)  , a is its base..
* for log2a , 2 is its base....
6.  Using an appropriate substitution, evaluate ∫ x^2(1-x)^1/3 dx   . limit is 1 at upper and 0 at bottom          [7M]

7.The parametric equation of a straight line I are given by x=4t-2 and y=3-3t
(a)   Show that the point A (1, 3/4) line on I.                                                                                                     [2M]
(b)   Find the cartesian equation of line I.                                                                                                         [2M]
(c)   Given that the line I cuts the x and y-axes at P and Q respectively. Find the ratio PA:AQ               [4M]

8.    Find all the values of x if y = |3-x|and 4y-(x^2- 9)= -24                                                                          [9M]

10.A curve is defined by the parametric equations.
X=t – 2/tand y = 2t + 1/t                    Where t ≠ 0
(a)Show that  dy/dx= 2- 5/ (t^2 + 2) and hence, deduce that -1/ 2 < dy/dx<2.                                        [8M]
(b) Find the coordinates of point when dy/dx= 1/3.                                                                                           [3M]

11. Given a curve y= x^2 -4 and a straight line y=x-2.

(a)sketch, on the same coordinates axes, the curve and the straight line.                                                    [2M]
(b) determines the coordinate of their point of intersection.                                                                           [2M]
(c)calculate the area of the region R bounded by the curve and the straight line.                                       [4M]
(d)find the volume of the solid formed when R is rotated through 360 about the x-axis.                           [5M]

12.the polynomial p(x) = 6x^4 – ax^3 –bx^2 +28x +12 , where a and b are real constants, has factors
    (x+2) and (x-2).
(a)Find the values of a and b, and hence, factorise p(x) completely.                                                                  [7M]
(b) Given tha p(x) = (2x-3) [ q(x)-41+3x^3], find q(x) and determine its range when x&pound; [-2,10].                     [8M]

7. 1:1 （错这题，少掉四分）

11. q(x) E [1,65]
12. 4.5 unit square, 108pi/5 unit cube.

暂时发现第七题错…
有人要分享答案吗？

第六题你按计算机看，
我没有看到negative的。

第八：有两个答案要被淘汰，
因为不符合equation。
