1) told - 參考 past simple - function : It shows action that happened and stopped.
2)had never been - 參考 combination of tenses - past perfect and past simple
   function : It shows two chronological actions in the pastfirst action(past perfect) and second action(past simple)
3)Will have made - 參考 future perfect - function : It shows an action that would have occured on a point in the future.
