I'm agree with you teacher are good only in teaching the subject they are assigned. It is because they keep repeating the same thing every year since they are start to teach. They target are to help student to pass in the exam or get a good result. Because of their environment in school, no much thing they can apply for it, unless they really go to work place and find it out.
I'm not clear with the sentence "when it comes to giving advice, seriously, they have no idea". Last time, when I finish my form 5, I start to work as part time while waiting the result SPM. because of listening to teacher, asking me to study science...now, I regret! most of the teachers, they are only good at teaching the subject they r assigned to teach e.g. physics, chemistry etc. but when it comes to giving advice, seriously, they have no idea. as a parent, we better have idea, don't rely to teachers too much.
